To start with I should point out that getting published is actually remarkably easy.
It may appear that getting your book published is like climbing a mountain, but I assure you it is more like writing a letter.
- I do not need to wait more than 1 month from the time I have finished a book, until it is in print.
Before you jump to the conclusion that I am talking about vanity publishing, let me assure you I am not.
There is no need to buy a single copy of your book to have it published and “in print,” and if a publisher asks for money up front to publish your book, they are tricking you.
I now use Amazon as my publisher, as they pay me my share of the sales slightly faster than the normal quarterly publishing contract, and also they seem far more effective at selling them for me.
They also do a very good job on their printing presses, and let me tell you; not every publishing house does.
On top of that, they also cover all the printing costs, and organize advertising. Advertising that I should add, that you do not need to pay for.
And if you are wondering whether Amazon actually sell books in the real world, it is interesting to note that they actually sell more books at this stage, than any other kind of retail outlet.
This is largely achieved through the fact they promote you through their online store, as well as your book being order-able through any book shop.

Because of the huge demand for this information I have set up auto-download via Paypal. It was either this or give up sharing the info, as I was emailing stuff out 24/7 LOL
In answer to some of the questions above that I haven’t gotten around to answering yet, it only costs $10 to get your book published. This is just the postage charge for your proof copy, because until you have accepted the proof has been printed correctly, there is no contract with them. They don’t charge for the printing, or the editorial checks, or even the ISBN which I know costs them a small fortune. This is all before you have even said you will definitely agree that they can publish your book.
I think its a great deal, but then they have made me a lot of money, so I may be biased LOL
