“Becoming a Ghostwriter” – Just Released

I am delighted to say that the release of my new book "Becoming a Ghostwriter" is going brilliantly. I confess I always dread the release of any book, but when one does well, that makes it all...

Getting Published – Publishing Your Book

A Ghost-Writer’s Requirements for an E-Book

I am always asked what do I require once I take a contract to write an e-book.

I thought it likely that many people have this question, some writers and some hiring a writer.  Either way it is important to make sure that the correct amount of information is given to a writer, if they are to create the e-book or book you require.  If they are not given sufficient information, the product created could be based around the correct niche, but promoting all the wrong things.

Here is a checklist of a writers requirements.

  • Title
  • Overview (This is a brief synopsis of the finished product)
  • Chapters (Optional but it is good to suggest anything you need included)
  • Author’s name (This would be the name of the person paying for the book, or their pen name)
  • URL to promote within the book

If you are hiring a writer to create a product for you, I recommend you give them this information, as it will result in you receiving a better book.

If you are a ghost writer or freelance writer, I highly suggest you ask for this information.  It will make everything much easier, and heads off potential problems before they start.

Cheers,

Colin Palfrey
